Henderson festival to raise money for new POW memorial

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – A weekend-long festival raising money for a new veterans memorial in Henderson is starting.

The Rockin’ for Heroes Festival starts Friday night at the Henderson County Fairgrounds.

Vendors and performers started setting up earlier Friday afternoon.

The event is raising money for a new POW memorial in Henderson.

Organizers said it will keep people from forgetting the price of freedom.

Organizers also said it would cost at least $100,000 to build.
