Henderson Fire damages home, displaces family

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Henderson Fire Department responded to an early morning fire Wednesday that has left a family without a home.

Firefighters said around 2:00 a.m. crews arrived at the home on Roosevelt Street to the sight of flames.

HFD said there were three adults and three small children at the house at the time of the fire.

Everyone was able to make it out safely. Firefighters said one person in the home was awakened by the smell of smoke, and found a fire in a nearby room

The family is currently being assisted with temporary housing by the American Red Cross.
