HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – Henderson police are investigating after they say a two-year-old girl was shot on Monday.
The father of the child told Eyewitness News that his daughter was riding in a car with her mother when they heard several pops. He said the child started screaming and they saw blood.
Officers say it happened in the area of Powell Street and South Adams just after 1 a.m. The girl was taken to Evansville and then flown to Indianapolis. The girl’s father said that her injuries are not life-threatening.
