Coroner: Two women found shot to death in Henderson home

Local News

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Henderson Police Department is investigating after two women were found shot to death Friday night. That’s according to Henderson County Coroner Bruce Farmer.

Authorities are not sure if the deaths happened Friday, or a different day. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday. Police say they are also reviewing cell phone footage.

Farmer tells Eyewitness News the two women were found in a home in the 300 blocks of Jackson Street. The coroner identifies the woman as 61-year-old Jennifer Glunt and 55-year-old Robin Glunt.

We’re told police were called to that house around 4:00 p.m. Friday.

While on the scene, authorities took several trash bags out of the house and put them in a truck owned by the Animal Control of Henderson County. Farmer said investigators found four dogs and one cat shot to death.

Farmer said the home was once owned by the late Maynard Glunt, who was the owner of Benton Glunt Funeral Home.
