Henderson storm tree debris can be dropped off at Sandy Lee Watkins Park

Local News

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — Aside from property damage after Saturday night’s storm, there’s a lot of tree damage around the city of Henderson.

Beginning Monday, people have a centralized location to drop off that debris.

Henderson County Judge Executive Brad Schneider says a site is being created at Sandy Lee Watkins Park for people to take downed tree limbs.

The site will be open from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. all this week.

Schneider says this site is for tree debris only, and only from Saturday’s storm.

All other debris, including that from buildings, must to go to the landfill.

There is no charge for the tree debris drop-off.
