INDIANAPOLIS (WISH-TV) – A high-speed chase in Indianapolis ended in a deadly crash. And this is the second fatal high-speed crash in the city.
This one started around 6:30 Wednesday evening on the west side of Indianapolis.,
Detectives say an officer tried to pull a truck over, with three passengers inside, but the driver didn’t stop.
Police say the officer stopped chasing the vehicles less than two minutes later because the truck was driving erratically.
“As the officer was traveling west, looking for the vehicle, driving normally at this time, he unfortunately noticed the scene behind us where the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed, inverting the vehicle.”
One man died in the crash and police have not said if it was the driver.
Another man and woman in the truck were taken to the hospital.
Detectives discovered the truck had been reported stolen the day before.
