A checkpoint was in place over the weekend along Highway 60 near the Spottsville Bridge.
The checkpoint is now clear, but the highway department was checking street addresses on licenses to make sure only residents were allowed in the area.
Since Highway 60 between the Spottsville Bridge and the Daviess County Line is back open, the checkpoint is now clear.
The checkpoint was designed to keep people from coming through and stealing things from unattended homes.
