Hoosiers to receive SNAP benefits on split schedule

Hoosiers who rely on SNAP will see some changes over the next month.

The Indiana Family and Social Security Administration is going to split the March benefit payments.

The first half will be available on Hoosier Works Cards February 22, 2019.

The second half will be available on clients’ regularly scheduled March date according to alphabetical schedule.

Indiana issued February benefits early due to the government shutdown.

The split-schedule for March benefits is meant to help reduce the gap that would otherwise be 60 days or more.
