Hopkins County Fiscal Court to vote on ‘Second Amendment’ resolution

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – The Hopkins County Fiscal Court is expected to vote on a resolution regarding a citizen’s right to carry.

Judge Executive Jack Whitfield Jr. said they’ll vote on a resolution supporting the Second Amendment at Tuesday morning’s fiscal court meeting.

A group was lobbying them to declare the county a “Second Amendment sanctuary,” but Whitfield said they took out language referencing a sanctuary.

Other groups across Kentucky are making similar campaigns including in Webster County.
