Hopkins County prepping for Moderna vaccine

Local

MADISONVILLE, Ky (WEHT) – Hopkins County is making plans for the Moderna vaccine pending FDA approval.

First responders and health care workers not with a hospital based system will receive this vaccine first. Two pharmacies will help administer to those in long term care facilities and then seniors with health issues.

Health officials said individuals should wait two weeks after getting a flu shot or other vaccine before getting the COVID shot. It’s recommended people who had COVID-19 wait 90 days after testing positive before getting the vaccine.
