It’s a common sight during the United Leasing and Finance Championship tournament to see groups of pros and amateurs alike warming up on the driving range.
The Victoria National employees fill bags upon bags of these practice balls for the players to use on the range.
But have you ever wondered many balls they hammer at each day during the tournament?
“I’d say about 8,000 golf balls,” said Player Service Supervisor Dylan Gilbert. “We get let’s call it 20 boxes that come with 25 dozen golf balls that we break down into these right here and guys. It’s just a recycling process from start to finish.”
The player services employees love the work during the tournament. Even if bagging golf balls gets a little tedious at times, they love having the opportunity to meet some of their favorite pros.
