HPD makes drug trafficking arrest after serving search warrant at hotel room

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Henderson Police Department served a search warrant last week and arrested a man on a charge of trafficking meth.

The Kentucky State Police Task Force assisted HPD with the search warrant on a room at the Sugar Creek Inn.

Authorities said they found over 10 grams of methamphetamine, two digital scales, and drug paraphernalia.

Michael Bellew, 48 of Henderson, was arrested on a charge of trafficking in a controlled substance.

The next week, a search warrant was served by authorities on a different room at the Sugar Creek Inn.

Meth, digital scales, and drug paraphernalia were all found in that room as well, authorities said.

Kara Horn, 27 of Henderson, and April Mullet, 33 of Henderson, were arrested on charges of meth possession.
