EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – A hung jury means a man accused of shooting another man in the head earlier this year will have his trial reset.

Police investigators believe Tyrell Culley shot a man named Robert Johnson in the head on SE 10th St. on May 1.

Police arrested Culley a few weeks later.

Culley went to trial on charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon.

The jury could not reach a unanimous verdict on either count.

Culley’s new trial date is set for January 29.
