DUBOIS CO, Ind. (WEHT) — The recent rain has leaders in Dubois County bracing for flooding.

A street in Huntingburg at S. 400 W has been especially hard-hit with water over the road.

Street Superintendent Jason Stamm says volunteers, as well as elected officials, were busy filling sandbags Sunday night for those that need them.

He also says these so called “100-year-rain events” seem to be happening more often.

Stamm says about half a dozen people stopped by last night to pick up sandbags.

If you are in need of bags, Stamm says the Huntingburg Street Department plans to leave a supply outside their building on 19th street in Huntingburg, most likely throughout this entire week.
