Do you have a great idea that could make Evansville more fun and exciting?
If so, you can pitch your ideas to the University of Evansville’s Changemaker Challenge.
Teams of all ages are invited to come up with a unique idea to make the city more exciting.
The solar tree at Mickey’s Kingdom is the result of UE’s high school changemaker challenge.
Four top teams will be chosen after preliminary judging, then they will pitch their ideas to community investors for up to $10,000 in funding.
“We thought that bringing community investors to the table, people who have a passion and interest in improving our community have resources, skills, expertise, um, they also bring a lot to bear on the teams and their ideas and helping get things to really happen.”
A kickoff season is scheduled for February 12, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Evansville African American Museum.
