Illinois governor signs gender-neutral bathroom bill into law


SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WEHT) – Governor J.B. Pritzker signed a bill into law Friday that will require all single-occupancy public restrooms in the state to be designated as gender-neutral.

The restrooms must be designated as gender-neutral starting January 1.

The law will apply to all existing or future public buildings.
