For a third time, the Illinois House canceled a budget session.

Now, Gov. Bruce Rauner fears the states is headed towards a crisis.

Illinois has less than two weeks to approve a budget before the start of the 2017 Fiscal Year.

This would be the second year in a row without state funding if lawmakers cannot come to an agreement.

On Tuesday, Gov. Rauner accused House Speaker Michael Madigan and Democrats of wanting to force a government shutdown.

A bipartisan group of legislators plan to meet three times this week to discuss a stop-gap budget.
