INDIANAPOLIS (WEHT) – Indiana lawmakers want to crack down on drivers speeding through work zones.
A study committee advanced a plan Thursday to authorize work zone speed cameras.
A panel will decide later this month whether to officially recommend that the General Assembly consider making Indiana the sixth state with such cameras.
State records show there were about 3,500 more work zone crashes in 2017 compared to 2013.
