Indiana to Hold Public Memorial for Former Governor

On Friday, the state of Indiana is honoring former Governor Edgar D. Whitcomb with a public memorial.

Whitcomb, a World War II veteran, served as governor from 1969-1973.

Last week, Whitcomb passed away at the age of 98 in Rome, IN.

Friday, current Governor Mike Pence has ordered flags to be flown half-staff from sunrise to sunset.

The memorial ceremony takes place at the Indiana Statehouse.
