Indiana US Sen. Young proposes amendment to limit Supreme Court to 9 justices

Indiana US Senator Todd Young has joined Senator Marco Rubio and 10 other Senate colleagues to introduce a constitutional amendment.

The amendment would limit the Supreme Court of the United States to nine justices.

The Supreme Court has had nine seats since 1869.

Sen. Young says the Supreme Court is critical to our system of checks and balances.

No word on when or if the amendment could take place.
