Indivisible Evansville held its first meeting of 2018 on Tuesday night. The theme was a retirement party for Indiana 8th District Congressman Larry Buschon.
Buschon officially filed for re-election earlier last month.
Indivisible Evansville President Edith Hardcastle says they are trying to make things fun by even including a retirement cake and are focusing on making sure Indiana has a larger voter turnout.
"We want a Congressman who is willing to hold Donald Trump accountable," said Hardcastle, "and Congressman Buschon has not been doing that. So, we are really looking forward to 2018 and finding someone we can elect in this year's mid-term."
Eyewitness News has reached out to Congressman Larry Buschon's office for comment, but we have yet to hear back.
