Vanderburgh Co., IN (WEHT) Indiana State Police arrest a man they say led a trooper on a chase, before getting out of his car and trying to run away.

It happened Monday around 11:35 p.m. A trooper pulled over a car with expired registration in the area of St. Joe Ave. and the Lloyd.

ISP say when the trooper got out of his cruiser, the driver drove off.

We’re told when the driver reached a dead end road on Dennison Street, he got out and ran away. But he was quickly captured thanks to the help an Evansville Police K-9.

Kevin Washington, 29, of Evansville is facing several charges including: resisting law enforcement, driving without ever receiving a license, and driving while intoxicated.
