ISP: Over 30 grams of meth found while arresting woman wanted in Evansville

POSEYVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Indiana State Police said a tip regarding a wanted Evansville woman led authorities to find 30 grams of methamphetamine.

Around 11 a.m. Wednesday, authorities responded to a residence on North Locust St. in Poseyville, after receiving a tip that 42-year-old Christy Smith was there.

Smith was wanted on two felony warrants out of Vanderburgh County.

Smith was arrested when officers arrived, but while inside the residence, authorities said they found approximately 32 grams of methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a controlled substance.

Smith faces the following charges:

  1. Dealing Methamphetamine, Class 2 Felony
  2. Possession of Methamphetamine, Class 3 Felony
  3. Possession of a Syringe, Class 6 Felony
  4. Possession of a Schedule Drug, Class A Misdemeanor
  5. Visiting a Common Nuisance, Class B Misdemeanor
  6. Possession of Paraphernalia, Class A Misdemeanor
  7. Two Vanderburgh County Felony Warrants (1) Escape (2) Petition to Revoke

Anthony Crawley, 29, was also arrested at the residence, ISP said. Crawley faces the following charges:

  1. Possession of Methamphetamine, Class 3 Felony
  2. Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Class 6 Felony
  3. Possession of Marijuana, Class B Misdemeanor
  4. Possession of Paraphernalia, Class A Misdemeanor
