ISP: Over 90 grams of meth found in Vincennes hotel room

KNOX COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) – Two Knox County men are behind bars after police say they found over 90 grams of meth inside a Vincennes hotel room.

On Sunday, Indiana State Police, Vincennes Police and Knox County Sheriff’s Office received information about 40-year-old Mark Baughn, who had outstanding warrants, was staying at a hotel in Vincennes.

Baughn was wanted out of Knox County and Illinois for three outstanding warrants for failure to appear.

Around 1:30AM, officers went to Red Roof Inn and found Baughn and another man, 59-year-old Robert Emmons.

ISP says there were several illegal items in plain view so, they obtained a search warrant for the room.

During the search, officers say they found items from a meth lab, over 90 grams of meth, a hypodermic syringe, and a small amount of marijuana.

Both men were arrested and taken to the Knox County Jail.

Baughn is charged with possession of a hypodermic syringe, maintaining a common nuisance, manufacturing meth, and possession of marijuana with prior conviction.

Emmons is charged with possession of hypodermic syringe, visiting a common nuisance, possession of marijuana, and possession of meth.
