ISP: Wrong-way driver hits patrol car on I-64

WARRICK COUNTY, In. (WEHT) — Indiana State Police arrested a wrong way driver Saturday night after she hit a trooper’s patrol car.
52-year-old Angela Ayer of Dale was arrested at the scene.
State Police say just before 11:30 p.m. last night they received a report of a wrong-way driver going west-bound in the east-bound lanes of I-64.
That’s just east of Lynnville.
We’re told a trooper turned on his emergency lights and siren to warn drivers and attempted to stop Ayer.
They say she failed to stop and hit that trooper’s patrol car.
The trooper was not hurt.
Ayer had a blood alcohol level of .23%
She was taken to the Warrick County Jail and is facing several charges.
