IU Will Let Regional Campuses Handle Scooter Issues

Bloomington, Ind. (WEHT) – Indiana University stops short of imposing rules on students riding scooters through the I.U. campuses.

The I.U. Board of Trustees discussed several options for regulating the devices, but it has decided to leave the decision on what to with the scooters up to officials at individual campuses.

The I.U. Student Government Association conducted a study which found the student body is split on the scooter issue. The study shows about half the of the students think scooters are a problem on I.U. campuses, while about half do not.
