Jasper company voluntarily recalling sliced pork BBQ

A Jasper Indiana company is voluntarily recalling its Hickory Smoked Pork in BBQ Sauce due to a soy allergen.

The potential soy allergen was not listed on the ingredient label.

The recalled pork is sold at grocery stores in eight Indiana Counties.

Hickory Smoked Pork in BBQ Sauce is sliced pork sold in 32-ounce and 64-ounce refrigerated packages with a yellow and red label bearing a “Merkley Quality Meats” logo.

This product was sold in Crawford Dubois, Gibson, Harrison, Perry, Spencer, Warrick, and Vanderburgh counties.

Merkley and Sons is urging consumers to return or destroy the product.

Consumers should also check their freezers for unused portions.
