(WEHT) — A Jasper man has been arrested on rape and child molestation charges, stemming from an incident last month.
26-year-old Dakota Browning is accused of raping a juvenile after a graduation party.
Indiana State Police say Browning met the juvenile at a graduation party and went to a home in Loogootee with the victim after the graduation party.
In the early morning hours of May 26th, police say Browning went into the victim’s bedroom while she was sleeping and raped her.
An arrest warrant was issued for Browning.
On Tuesday afternoon, US Marshals and Indiana State Police found Browning at a home in Jasper.
ISP says Browning failed to comply with their commands, so a K-9 was used and were able to take him into custody.
Browning was taken to the hospital for his injuries.
Once he was released, he was taken to the Martin County Jail.
