A Vanderburgh County man avoids trial and pleads guilty to possessing a destructive device.

Joseph Rayburn pleaded guilty to the level five felony charge of possession of a destructive device.

It stems from an incident last December where the Oak Meadow subdivision was evacuated.

Police said they found the explosives as well as meth in his condo.
