The man accused of shooting five people outside an Evansville bar has requested a speedy trial.

John Perteet was in court Thursday.

He petitioned to have his bond reduced, but the judge denied that request.

His bond is currently $250,000.

Perteet now has a trial scheduled for April 22.

Police said he opened fire outside the Sidetrack bar on East Illinois St. on Sunday morning.

All five victims are expected to be okay.
