Jury finds man not guilty of child molestation


EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – After a two-day trial and two hours of discussion, a jury found an Evansville man not guilty of child molestation.

A Vanderburgh Superior Court jury acquitted Virgil Davis of two counts of child molesting.

Davis was accused of molesting two children under 14.

He pleaded not guilty back in 2018.

Davis was facing a potential sentence of four to 24 years in prison before the jury made the decision.
