HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – It’s natural to want to get out in the sun during warm summer days, but you need to protect your skin from the sun when you go outside. compiled melanoma cases for Kentucky from the CDC and found the state has the seventh highest rate of skin cancer in the country.

You and your family can take these steps to stay safe in the sun:

  • Wear clothing and a hat to protect as much skin as possible.
