The Legislative Ethics Commission reports 742 businesses and organizations spent more than two million dollars lobbying state lawmakers.
That’s a record for the first month of a legislative session — in an odd-numbered year.
The Kentucky Chamber of Commerce was the top spender at more than $40,000.
Tobacco company, Altria was second at just more than $30,000.
