Kentucky to add offices to meet REAL ID deadline

Local News

(WEHT) – Kentucky state officials are adding more offices in order to issue REAL ID’s to residents as a major deadline approaches.

Governor Andy Beshear announced more offices will be added in Paducah and Somerset to go with current locations in Frankfort and Bowling Green.

Kentuckians must have the REAL ID starting on October 1 to fly, enter a government building, or enter a military base.

Kentucky transportation officials said residents should prepare before getting the new ID card.

An office is planned for Madisonville but there’s no word on when that location will open.
