KENTUCKY (WEHT) – Kentucky is transforming its child welfare system.
The Kentucky Department for Community-based Services released its one year report for its child welfare transformation efforts, showing progress in children’s outcomes and care for families.
The efforts began in 2018 with more money in the state budget and more resources.
There’s been an increase of 671 foster homes across the Commonwealth from last April to April 2019.
And more youth are being adopted.
