DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – Children going to the Daviess County Public Library now have a place to play after they read.

The Kiwanis Club of Owensboro unveiled the new musical play park featuring drums, chimes, and other instruments.

Club members say it honors their 75th anniversary and allows kids to explore the power and beauty of music.

“Our public library is a huge asset to our community. They really do try to focus on kids and families in our community. They offer a lot of programs. So, we feel their vision matches with our vision.”

Club members add they got the idea for the musical play park after recently attending an international Kiwanis Club Conference.
