MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WEHT) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to close a section of KY 283 in northern Webster County starting Monday, August 26, 2019.
Monday, KY 283 will be closed at mile point 4.921 to allow the Knoblick Creek Bridge to be replaced. This closure is along KY 283 between Sam Simpson Road and KY 56.
There will be no marked detour. Motorists may self-detour via side roads. Trucks should self-detour via U.S. 41-Alternate and KY 56.
The existing Knoblick Creek Bridge will be demolished and replaced with a pre-fabricated aluminum span structure.
The roadway at this site is expected to reopen to traffic around 3:30 p.m., on Friday, August 30.
A lane restriction may be required at this site the following week to allow some finish work on the project.
