KSP asking for public’s help in theft investigation

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – Kentucky State Police is asking for the public’s help finding a four-door burgundy or maroon Chevy passenger car.

The vehicle was last seen at the Walmart in Hanson last Friday.There appears to be a handicap placard or air freshner visible in the windshield.

Police believe the vehicle had two men inside, who stole a Honda 6500 Watt Invertor generator from the trailer of a parked vehicle.

KSP says after exiting the Walmart parking lot, the suspects made a right turn on Veteran’s Dive heading toward the city of Hanson.

The theft happened around 2:00 on Friday.

If anyone recognizes this vehicle, or knows who is involved, they’re asked to call KSP at 270-676-3313. Callers can remain anonymous.
