KSP investigates deadly combine fire in Muhlenberg Co.

Kentucky State Police are investigating a fire involving a farm machinery which claimed the life of a Muhlenberg County man.

KSP responded to a combine fire on Monday just before 5 p.m. in the 3300 block of State Route 601 in Greenville.

Troopers say 47-year-old James Blakely of Greenville was working on the combine when he became entangled inside the engine compartment. KSP says the engine caught fire trapping him inside. Blakely was pronounced dead at the scene.
