UPDATE: Kentucky State Police have confirmed the truck’s driver died as a result of an accident involving a semi-truck on Kentucky 1379 on Thursday.
According to a release, 32-year-old Abelardos Bartolon-Lopez of Sacramento, Kentucky, was traveling west on Kentucky 1379, when for an unknown reason, the commercial vehicle left the roadway and overturned. The Muhlenberg Coroner pronounced Bartolon-Lopez dead at the scene.
Officials say Bartolon-Lopez was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.

MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – Kentucky State Police are at the scene of an overturned semi on State Route 1379 in Muhlenberg County.
Dispatch has confirmed there are injuries involved in the accident, but have not said to what extent. Authorities say the accident happened around 9:40 a.m. on Thursday on near the Nelson Creek area.
The roadway has reopened since the accident.
