Hopkins Co. deputy dies in car crash

NORTONVILLE, Ky (WEHT) Kentucky State Police are investigating a deadly car crash in Muhlenberg County.

It happened around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday on the Western Kentucky Parkway near the 43 mile marker.

KSP says Hopkins County Sheriff’s Deputy Terry Vick, 43, was heading eastbound when, for unknown reasons, he crossed the median, truck a guard rail, and struck a concrete abutment, before finally coming to rest

Deputy Vick was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Hopkins County Coroner’s Office. The investigation is ongoing.

Deputy Vick was the School Resource Officer at Hanson Elementary and a 17 year veteran law enforcement officer.

The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office says Deputy Vick was a husband, father and former Marine Veteran.
