KY 416 blocked in Henderson County

Update

Eyewitness News was on the scene of an overturned semi in Henderson County on Thursday.

The accident happened before noon, just outside Robards at the Highway 416 and Highway 283 intersection.

Transportation officials said the semi was hauling several containers of farm-related fuel and fluids that leaked out – prompting an environmental cleanup effort.

Two people in the truck had to use a ladder to get out.

Both were taken to the hospital, but they’re expected to be okay.

The road is expected to be closed until 7 p.m.

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Henderson County Emergency Management reports that KY 416 is blocked in the southern part of the county due to an overturned semi.

The crash is about a mile west of Robards, between KY 283 and Spencer-Thornberry Rd.

The truck was hauling containers that are requiring an environmental cleanup effort.

It’s expected to take two hours.
