KYTC works on Spottsville Bridge ahead of new bridge construction

Local News

SPOTTSVILLE, Ky. (WEHT) — Crews from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet were working on the Spottsville Bridge on Friday.

The team is following up on a recent inspection of the bridge structure.

They’re also looking for which bridge maintenance items will require attention during the construction of a new bridge at the site.

Some brief lane restrictions may be required until about 6 p.m.

A contract for construction of the new bridge is expected to be ready for bidding sometime this fall.

It’s expected to take about two years to complete the project.
