(WEHT)- The Indiana Department of Transportation announced moving lane restrictions on State Road 69 near Mt. Vernon and lane closures on U.S. 50 near Montgomery Wednesday.

Starting Monday, contractors will restrict one lane of S.R 69 between the S.R. 69 bypass and Maple Hill Road for asphalt resurfacing. Operations will be mobile based on the location in which work is taking place each day. Work will take place during the daytime hours from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The project there is expected to last through April.

The following week, around April 6, contractors will close one lane one each of the two bridges spanning Prairie Creek just west of County Road South 800 East in Montgomery. During this operation, workers will rehabilitate both the approaches and the driving surface on both bridges.

INDOT is asking drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
