Lane shifts, nighttime work coming for Lloyd Expressway in Evansville

VANDERBURGH COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) – There will be some traffic shifts along the Lloyd Expressway in Evansville in the coming weeks.

Drivers can expect lane shifts and nighttime work zones from Wabash Avenue to Epworth Road.

INDOT says on Monday, July 22nd, it will open two lanes of traffic on the Lloyd Expressway at Wabash for eastbound and westbound traffic.

On Tuesday, July 23rd, workers will lift part of the expressway’s bridge deck over Pigeon Creek, which is scheduled to happen at night from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Drivers will have to use St. Joe Avenue to detour.

On July 29th, INDOT will move the work zone between Vann Avenue and Epworth Road. This work will happen at night.

These shifts are part of a larger concrete patching project scheduled to last until next summer.

Drivers should use caution in the work zone areas.
