More than 200 new laws are now in effect in Illinois.
A few of the big changes we will see:
- People who earn less than $13.50 an hour cannot be forced to sign a non-compete agreement.
- It will also be easier to take sick days, companies must be more flexible when employees call in sick.
- A new law prevents business owners from asking employees to use their personal social media for work purposes.
- It also prevents employers from asking employees and applicants for their social media passwords.
