Madisonville non-profit “Light of Chance” had its open house event for its new location Saturday.
The group’s new space is located on Main Street.
“Light of Chance” has been around since 2005 and offers after school youth arts programs, a wellness program to promote an active lifestyle and a one day teen summit to empower students.
Executive Director Eric Logan says after 7 years in the previous building, it was time for a change.
“We really believe that it’s important for kids to be able to express themselves and art helps kids inside and outside the classroom. It helps with mental and behavioral health. It’s just a place that kids can come and completely be themselves and be free,” says Logan.
Those interested in signing up to volunteer or registering their youth in the program can find more information at lightofchance.org.
