Lightning strike at Daviess County Fire Department causes fire

Firefighters in Daviess County, Kentucky had to put out a fire at their own station Tuesday night.

Officials say lightning struck the Daviess County Fire Department on Kentucky 54 before 7:00 PM.

Crews started battling the fire immediately with four other departments.

We’re told there is smoke damage to the attic and at least one room.
There were no injuries, and fire marshals will investigate.

Some equipment might have to be relocated.
