EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) Caylin Scwartz is only nine years old, but she’s already living out a dream most people never accomplish in a lifetime. This summer, Caylin will head to New York City to perform on Broadway.
Schwartz auditioned against hundreds of other kids across the country and was chosen to take part in a multi-week workshop on Broadway. At the end of the workshop, Caylin and the other students chosen will put on a Broadway play in front of real casting directors.
” I was super excited when my mom told me that we could audition for something in New York because it’s been my dream, since I started, to go on Broadway. I think it’s really awesome, and I’m just super excited,” said Caylin Schwartz.
Caylin has been performing since she was five years old, starring locally in many players including her favorite roll as Annie.
She says she hopes to someday be on Broadway as a lead in a play or musical.
