Local bowling team lends helping hand following Tennessee tornadoes

LEBANON, Tenn. (WEHT)- Tennessee is still recovering from the storms that swept through the state but one Nashville suburb got a helping hand from Kentucky Wesleyan College’s bowling team.

Bowler and Lebanon, Tenn. native, Dalton Karstens says the team was getting ready to go fishing when he got a call to help. Karstens adds “when we got there, we saw all the houses’ roofs blown off, just glass all over the road from all the windows breaking. Garage doors bent in, cars blown to shreds.”

Luckily, Karstens says the hotel the team was staying at did not suffer major damage. So far, 25 people across Tennessee have died, including three people in Wilson County, where Lebanon is located.
